do germany! it seems really cool there, my friends and I are lightly toying with the idea of flying there to see Bon Iver because the festival they’re playing in Paris is sold out ): aw! it really is amazing here. and i can video chat while i’m here! I don’t know what the time difference is between here and missouri, but weeknights around 11 here (probably 4 or so by you) work best. or facebook! or something!

I forgot to blog about it until now, but a few weeks ago was Journée du Patrimoine in Paris. Basically it’s a weekend where a ton of museums are free and the public is allowed into buildings that are closed for the rest of the year, like the Senate Building or Hotel de Ville. We went to the Modern Museum of Paris, and when I saw this, I felt home. Matisse painted the same exact painting on the walls at the Barnes Foundation in Merion, three minutes away from my house. To see the same painting, in Paris, was a little unreal.
